The Holy Art is one of the largest international contemporary art galleries for emerging and established artists in the world. Founded in November 2020, The Holy Art has grown into a global gallery network operating across nine cities with over 25,000 artists exhibited and a community of more than 241,000 collectors, curators and art enthusiasts.

This guide covers everything you need to know about The Holy Art, how it works, what artists can expect, and how the gallery has built one of the most active art communities in the world.

What is The Holy Art?

The Holy Art is an international contemporary art gallery that gives artists the opportunity to exhibit their work in physical and digital exhibitions across nine cities worldwide. The gallery operates in London, New York, Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Athens, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Brighton.

Unlike traditional commercial galleries that represent a small roster of established artists, The Holy Art runs open calls that are accessible to artists at every stage of their career. Emerging artists with no prior exhibition history can apply alongside experienced artists with years of shows behind them.

The gallery was founded with a clear mission: to remove the barriers that keep talented artists out of the traditional gallery system. No connections required. No CV prerequisites. Selection is based on the quality of the work.

How does The Holy Art work?

The Holy Art runs open calls throughout the year for exhibitions across its nine cities. The process is straightforward.

Artists submit images of their work through the open call on theholyart.com. The curatorial team reviews every single submission. Artists whose work fits the exhibition are selected and notified. Selected artists choose between physical exhibition (their original work displayed in the gallery) or digital exhibition (their work displayed on screens and online). The exhibition takes place with an opening night event followed by public viewing days.

Submission to the open call is free. Selected artists pay an exhibition fee that covers wall space, venue hire, installation, promotion, opening night event and gallery staffing.

The numbers behind The Holy Art

Over 25,000 artists exhibited since 2020. Nine cities across three continents. More than 400 exhibitions produced. A community of over 235,000 followers, collectors, curators and art enthusiasts on Instagram (@theholyartgallery). Physical exhibitions in London, New York, Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Athens, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Brighton. Both physical and digital exhibition formats available.

These numbers make The Holy Art one of the most prolific contemporary art galleries for emerging artists in the world.

Who runs The Holy Art?

The Holy Art was founded by Evelyn Tsekoura, who serves as Senior Curator. Evelyn has a background in civil engineering and advertising production, having worked with major brands including Coca-Cola, Nike and Nintendo before founding The Holy Art in November 2020.

The gallery is co-directed with Angelos Tsekouras, who manages the technical and operational side of the business. Together they have built The Holy Art from a single exhibition into a nine-city gallery network in under six years.

What do artists get when they exhibit with The Holy Art?

Artists who exhibit with The Holy Art receive wall space or digital display in a curated group exhibition, professional installation and gallery lighting, an opening night private view event, promotion across The Holy Art's social media and newsletter to over 235,000 followers, exhibition photography and documentation, an official artist confirmation letter for visa and portfolio purposes, and a line on their CV that carries international weight.

The gallery promotes each exhibition before, during and after the show. Artists benefit from exposure to the gallery's established network of collectors, curators and art enthusiasts across all nine cities.

What mediums does The Holy Art accept?

The Holy Art accepts all mediums. Painting, photography, sculpture, digital art, illustration, printmaking, mixed media, collage, textile art, video art, installation and any other visual medium.

There are no restrictions on style, subject matter or artistic approach. The gallery looks for work that is strong, authentic and shows a clear artistic voice.

Is The Holy Art legitimate?

Yes. The Holy Art is a registered company in England and Wales. The gallery has been operating since November 2020 and has produced over 400 exhibitions across nine cities. Over 25,000 artists have exhibited with the gallery. The Holy Art has an active community of over 240,000 on Instagram and maintains a presence on Trustpilot and Google Reviews.

The gallery is transparent about its fees, its process and its terms. Artists receive an official confirmation letter upon selection and clear communication throughout the exhibition process.

Streeters Gallery: the sister gallery

In 2025, the team behind The Holy Art launched Streeters Gallery, a sister gallery focused on weekend group shows in London, Paris and New York.

Streeters was created to offer a more focused, affordable exhibition format for emerging artists. Weekend shows with a Friday opening night and Saturday to Sunday public viewing. The same collector network and audience as The Holy Art but in a more intimate, event-driven format.

Streeters Gallery operates as a separate company but shares the same founding team, the same audience and the same commitment to giving emerging artists a platform.

Key differences: The Holy Art offers international exhibitions across nine cities. Streeters offers focused weekend shows in London, Paris and New York. Both accept all mediums and welcome artists with no prior experience.

What artists say

The Holy Art has built its reputation through the experiences of the 25,000+ artists who have exhibited. Artists consistently highlight the professionalism of the exhibition process, the quality of the venues, the strength of the opening night events and the exposure to collectors and other artists.

Many artists who started with The Holy Art have gone on to exhibit internationally, secure gallery representation, make their first sales and build sustainable art careers. The gallery's open call model has given thousands of artists their first exhibition credit.
